What does the uBreach page show?
The main uBreach page gives you a quick overview of:
How many user breaches there are
What the latest breach is
How many users are being monitored
How many users have been involved in breaches
On the lower half of the page, you'll find lists of breaches, users and domains.
You'll only see the list of domains and the option to mark breaches as resolved if you have upgraded to uBreach Pro.
How to use uBreach to find exposed users and credentials
In uBreach, you can navigate through breaches involving your users, the affected individuals, and your domains with associated breaches using three views:
You will only see the Domains tab if you have upgraded to uBreach Pro.
Using the Breaches view to find exposed users and credentials
In the Breaches view you'll see all data breaches from the dark web we've located that involve your users. You can sort breaches using the options available, search through with the Search bar, and click on them to find out more information such as which users were affected.
If you have not upgraded to uBreach Pro, only breaches involving users you have uploaded to the uSecure platform will be visible.
The Breach view shows you:
Breach Name - Usually the name of the service that was breached
Severity - Breaches can be rated Low, Medium or High based on the data that was exposed (e.g. all breaches involving passwords are rated High severity)
Breach Date - The date when the breach was added to the database
Breach Count - How many of your users were affected
Resolved Count - How many of the breaches involving your users have been marked as 'Resolved'
Exposed Information - Which types of information were exposed in the breach
Mark Resolved - You can use this button to mark the entire breach as resolved for all affected users
You can find additional information on a breach by clicking on it and opening the breach pop-up.
The Breach Pop-Up Information Panel
The Breach Pop-Up Information Panel gives you additional information a breach.
The breach pop-up information panel shows you:
Additional information and background on the breach
A full list of information types that were exposed in the breach
A full list of affected users, along with options to view the information relating to the user that was exposed in the breach, and to mark the breach as resolved for the user
You will only be able to view snippets of the information relating to the user that was exposed in breaches if you have upgraded to uBreach Pro.
Using the Domains view to find exposed users and credentials
In the Domains view you'll be able to see each of your monitored domains. You can sort the domains using the options available, or search through the domains with the Search bar. Clicking a domain will let you find out more information about the breaches involving the Domain and the affected users.
The Domains view is only visible if you have upgraded to uBreach Pro.
The Domains view shows you:
Domain - The monitored domain
Last Breach Date - When the last breach with email addresses associated with the domain was added to the database
Breach Count - How many breaches have been associated with the domain
User Breach Count - How many individual user breaches have been associated with the domain
Resolved Count - How many individual user breaches associated with the domain have been marked as resolved
You can find additional information on a monitored domain by clicking on it and opening the domain pop-up information panel.
The Domain Pop-Up Information Panel
You can find additional information on monitored domains in this view.
The domain pop-up information panel shows you:
A list of the breaches involving the domain
A list of users associated with the domain
Only users you have uploaded to the usecure platform, and breaches associated with them, will be visible if you have not upgraded to uBreach Pro.
Using the Users view to find exposed users and credentials
In the uBreach Users view you'll be able to see a list of your users that have been affected by breaches. You can sort the list of users by the options available, search though the list with the Search bar, mark breaches involving users as resolved, and click on individual users to find out which breaches they were involved in and what information was exposed.
If you have not upgraded to uBreach Pro, only breaches involving users you have uploaded to the uSecure platform will be visible in this view.
The uBreach Users view shows you:
Name - Full name of the affected user
Email - Email address of the affected user
Resolved - The date when the individual user breach was marked as resolved, if it has been marked as resolved
View - You can click this button to view snippets of the exposed credentials of the user in the breach
Mark Resolved - Click this option to mark the individual user breach as resolved
Click on individual users to open the user pop-up information panel and find out which breaches the user has been affected by, and what information relating to the user has been exposed.
The User Pop-Up Information Panel
You can find additional information on users affected by breaches using this information panel.
The uBreach user pop-up information panel allows you to:
Browse the full list of breaches that the user has been affected by
View snippets of the exposed information present in each breach by with the View button
Mark individual breaches resolved for the user with the Mark Resolved button
You will only be able to view the snippets of the exposed information for breaches if you have upgraded to uBreach Pro.
