When the Microsoft 365 sync completes you will receive a Sync Summary email whether that’s a test, manual or automatic sync.

The body of this email details the sync’s activity as follows:

  • Groups Loaded - The raw number of groups we pull from the Microsoft Graph API

  • Groups Processed - The number of groups we sync against after your filtering preferences have been applied.

  • Groups Created* - The number of groups created by this sync.

  • Groups Updated* - The number of groups updated by this sync.

  • Groups Deleted* - The number of groups deleted by this sync.

  • Users Loaded - The number of users we pull from the Microsoft Graph API that meet the minimum requirement for user records in the system

  • Users Processed - The number of users we sync against after your filtering preferences have been applied.

  • Users Created* - The number of users created by this sync.

  • Users Updated* - The number of users updated by this sync.

  • Users Deactivated* - The number of users deactivated i.e. set to inactive status by this sync.

*Please note the test sync only indicates what would happen on a manual or automatic sync. No changes are made to your data by the test sync.

The sync summary also includes an Excel spreadsheet attachment providing further detail including lists of the users and groups that were created, updated or deleted/deactivated by the sync.
