Enabling multi-factor authentication (MFA) adds another layer of security to your account. You can enable multi-factor authentication in your account settings.

In this article, you'll find:

How to enable multi-factor authentication for your usecure account

  1. Find your Account Settings by hovering over your name in the top menu.

  2. In the Security tab, click Enable Two-Factor Authentication

  3. Go through the MFA set-up process. You will need an app such as Google Authenticator to allow you to setup your authentication code.

  4. Once you've successfully set up multi-factor authentication, you will always be required to provide an authentication code when you log in to the platform.

Note: Don't forget to download your recovery codes, as these will allow you to re-gain access to your account should you lose the device you get your authentication codes from.

What applications are supported for two-factor authentication?

You can use whichever app you choose that works with MFA QR codes. The apps supported include:

  • Google Authenticator

  • Authy

  • 1Password

  • LastPass Authenticator

Is SMS-based two-factor authentication supported?

No. Only app-based 2-FA is available as this is the more secure form of two-factor authentication, preventing breaches such as sim-jacking.
