Understanding Toxic Combinations

Written by Kerryn Zendera

A single risk signal may be manageable on its own. The picture can change when several weaknesses converge around the same user.

These overlapping risk factors are Toxic Combinations.

For example, awareness weaknesses, exposed credentials, poor security hygiene and high access may become more significant when they occur together.

Toxic Combinations help make it clearer:

  • Why a particular user or issue needs attention

  • Which factors are increasing the risk

  • What should be prioritized

  • Where remediation should focus

uHealth surfaces these patterns so teams can move from reviewing isolated findings to having more focused risk and remediation conversations.
