On the Users page within your usecure app, you can choose to set one or more users as 'Inactive' using the action button.
When you set a user as inactive:
You won't be billed for them (from the next billing cycle)
They won't be enrolled on any Auto Enrol courses
They will no longer receive emails or reminders about any platform content such as courses, simulations or policies
They will no longer be able to access any previously sent platform content such as courses, simulations or policies.
If I set a user as inactive, will they still receive courses or course reminder emails?
Users that have been set to inactive will not receive emails about new courses or reminders about previously enrolled courses, and they will also not be able to access any previously sent course links.
If I set a user as inactive, will they still receive uPhish simulations?
Users that have been set to inactive will not receive any uPhish simulations, nor will they be able to access the simulation links to landing pages in previously sent phishing simulations.
Note on Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace sync
If you have Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace sync enabled, the sync will automatically re-activate any users that are imported, even if you previously marked them as inactive. To prevent this, you can add specific users to your sync deny-list in your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace sync settings.
What if I need to set all users to inactive?
If you want to pause billing on your account by marking all users as inactive, go to Users, select all users, and choose Mark as Inactive from the actions menu. In this case, adding everyone to the deny-list is not required. Instead, you must revoke the sync authentication to ensure that the automated sync does not re-activate users. You can do this by going to Settings > Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace > Advanced Options and selecting Revoke Sync Authentication.
